It's an interesting day to see if the Supreme Court will side with the Biden administration to overturn the Trump era policy of Remain in Mexico. Remain in Mexico also known as Migration Protection Protocols requires immigrants seeking asylum to stay in Mexico while they wait for an immigration judge to consider their application. The Supreme Court had agreed [in February of this year] to consider this case. The Remain in Mexico policy has been seen by many as a dangerous policy for thousands of people seeking humanitarian aid. Biden had rescinded the policy after taking office and within a few months Texas and Missouri brought a suit against the administration seeking a reinstatement of the policy and later won in the lower federal court. We will have to wait until June to see the decision in the case that is being heard today at the Supreme Court.
