Afghanistan Humanitarian Parole

Our offices have been receiving calls for help from relatives, friends and acquaintances of Afghanistan nationals stuck in an escalating humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan. The current situation is very dismal due to lack of clarity on USCIS policy and procedures relating to the Afghanistan evacuation and those relating to Humanitarian Parole adjudications. As per USCIS's procedural requirements, applications for Humanitarian Parole must be completed and filed with USCIS Dallas office. These applications are taking several weeks even to issue fee receipts, leave aside the final adjudication that defeats the entire purpose of ensuring that applicants are provided relief quickly to ensure early evacuation from Afghanistan. Under these circumstances, we suggest applicants to file applications for Humanitarian Parole with a colored cover letter on top of the request highlighting in bold "Afghanistan Humanitarian Parole- Request to Expedite Processing". AILA (American Immigration Lawyers Association) has urged USCIS to expedite processing of applications for Humanitarian Parole.
