United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) just announced that a total number of 780,884 registrations were received against FY 2024 H-1B Cap between the registration period March 1-March 20, 2023. This has been the largest number of registrations/applications ever received by USCIS in any Fiscal Year even going prior to introduction of the new Registration process implemented under the Trump administration. Secondly, this year saw a significant increase in the number of registrations from the registrations received last year that were a total of 483,927. USCIS received approximately 300,000 more applications this year. There has been continuous increase in the number of registrations received by USCIS each year (under new registration process) since FY 2021 from 274,237 in FY 2021 to 308,613 in FY 2022 to 483,927 in FY 2023 to most recent 780,884 in FY 2024.
